Yes, contrary to the rumors of my untimely demise on a European freeway, I do continue to pursue this meager existance.
I was planning, at one time, to post an elaborate descrpition of my trip to
Europe. However, I seem to have put it off for too long, and grow quite weary of recounting the tale time and time again. So, you get the abridged version.
- I want. To live. In England. <3 It's like New York only cleaner, more historic, and British
- the French totally don't hate americans, unless you're an asshole.
... I was an asshole. >.>
- I signed the Eiffel Tower with Lestat lyrics. Go find them.
- the Holocaust is a testy subject to bring up, particularly in germany.
- 'Night-trains' packed with six people and their human-sized luggage in a space not much larger than a sportscar are awesome.
- there is no cell phone connection in the alps. There are, however, goats.
- Slovakia... And that's all I'll say on that subject.
- ALL GOOD MUSICALS DIE IN HUNGARY. I saw posters for Jekyll and Hyde, Dance of the Vampire, Dracula... *cries*
School is going well. Very well, in fact. I'm so excited to be in the play this
fall. We're doing The Laramie Project, which centers around the vicious beating and homicide of Matthew Shepard, a college student from Laramie, Wyoming, because he was gay (I know, cheery right?). The play has stirred up a ton of controversy and, despite the fact that I spend almost every free moment exhausting myself at play practice, I'm really glad to be participating in and supporting it.
I have AP english in school this year, which is pretty awesome. I've never learned so much in an english class before that has actually helped me in my writing. Oh, and the teacher actually seems to like me.
I'm also trying out for the Monmouth County Arts High School in December. That's this program my school does in accordance with Brookdale college, in which I would get to leave early once a week to go to the college and study either broadway singing or creative writing (I'm auditioning for both).
...
Oh, and Dumbledore's gay.
So called that one.
